Peyton is such a trooper, yesterday he had his tonsils and adenoids taken out as well as a Turbinate Reduction (tissue removed from the inside of his nose). He's been having trouble with snoring and apnea due to his large sized tonsils and adenoids. He also has problems with asthma and allergies and frequent upper airway infections. The doctor said making more room in there by removing all the inflamed tissue would help lessen all these chronic problems.
Peyton was pretty scared at first and even tried to talk Dan and I out of taking him to the hospital. He was so brave and hardly cried (before the procedure). They gave him some Versed to make the separation from Dan and I easier. I was a little freaked out because the Versed really did a number on him, he was still conscious but limp and really out of it. After the procedure he was really upset because he just felt yucky! Once we broke out the transformer we got him he was a little better. He just wanted to go home. The worst part was taking out the IV, well, taking off the tape to take out the IV. Who woulda thought??? I was and am a little upset because they poked him 14 times to do the IV and get some blood for some allergy testing. Luckily he was unconscious for it, but still that makes it even worse!! Who's the crappy nurse or phlebotomist who has to poke 14 times on a child that isn't even moving!!?!?!? P has bruises all over and he is complaining of the spots hurting, my poor baby! Overall it went OK , Peyton is a real tough kid!

He was given this super cute giraffe, he named him Lightning McQueen.
