Here comes Santa Claus...

Last night we were able to go to Meemaw's annual Prudential Christmas party. The party is always so fun, they have Santa Claus there for the kids to have pictures and Fifi the clown is there tying balloon animals and other objects for the kids, best of all they have lots of food! We have gone to the party every year since we had Jackson. Last year Peyton freaked out and didn't want to have anything to do with Santa. This year was quite the opposite. He was so excited to go. We have been talking about it for a few weeks now. Peyton has a few toy magazines that he looks at daily, he always turns to the same page and wants the same thing (for the most part) Optimus Prime. Recently he has added StarScream to his list. When I ask him why he wants StarScream he says "So Optimus Prime can shoot him". So, on the way to see Santa Peyton suddenly yells out "I forgot my magazine!" Dan says "it's ok son, Santa has every toy up here (pointing to his head)" then Peyton says "ok ok Dad, we'll see if he has the toy's on his head" LOL!! Then we had to explain how Santa has it in his mind (that was tough). It was really funny.
When we got there Peyton was amazed by Santa. As we stood in line he just stared at him, it was so funny. When it was our turn he just ran up to Santa and started telling him what he wanted, he was all jittery and talking really fast it was so cute. Finally we got him to get on Santa's lap for the pictures. It was great. Bailey did really well too, she's not really to the age that a big bearded man would scare her yet. After Peyton saw Santa he was pretty sad because his didn't get an Optimus Prime and StarScream. Then we had to explain that you ask Santa and he brings it on Christmas (he was quite confused).

After seeing Santa, I took Peyton to see Fifi the clown and he didn't want anything to do with her. Apparently he is freaked out by clowns. After a while he saw all the balloon animals that his cousins had from her and he decided that if Aunt Buffy would hold him he would have her make him a penguin and a dinosaur.

This is the best picture I could get. He wouldn't get close enough for me to take their picture together. So there you so Fifi in the background.
It was a great night, we had a lot of fun and we're so glad the kids could see Santa.

We put up our Christmas lights this past weekend. It was very cold and our roof was pretty scary, but we made it!

SCENTSY PARTY!!

Just wanted to let you all know that I am going to be having a Scentsy party this coming Saturday December 1st at 11:00 am. It was sort of a last minute decision but I thought these would make GREAT Christmas gifts!
If you are interested in coming to the party leave me a comment with your email address and I will send you the info.
The Scentsy party is going to be combined with a jewelry party (you have to come to the party to see the jewelry). The lady is just starting her business so there isn't anything online to see.

Take a look at the online Scentsy catalog at HERE. They have such cute candle warmers and it's a great product because the warmers are electric, use a 25 watt light bulb. It melts the wax just above room temperature, so you never have to worry about getting burned. You can even leave your warmer on 24 hours a day if you want! And they have 45 choices of warmers and 80 different scents. The bars are leadless, flameless, and smokeless. They also have room sprays and car candles (these would be great inexpensive neighbor gifts, just tie a bow and there you have it!)
If you can't come to the party or don't want to let me know if you want to order anything.

Thanks a ton!
Happy Holidays

also, if you live too far away for me to be able to deliver your order Scentsy offers free shipping and they'll ship it right too your house.

A little thanks...

I just wanted to take a few minutes and give a little thanks, since it is Thanksgiving and all. We had a great day today. We lounged around for a while this morning and then we went over to Dan's Mom's house for some family time and some dinner. It was a nice relaxed day which is just the way we like it. At Dan's Mom's a little football game took place in the back yard. Peyton loved it (even though he only got the ball a few times). It was so cold outside, Peyton's little cheeks were like ice when he came in!

Notice Dan isn't wearing shoes! He wore his sandals and I guess they were slowing him down. The dinner we had was awesome! Fried turkey (4 turkeys!), andoullie sausage stuffing, cornbread stuffing, andoullie sausage mashed potatoes, regular mashed potatoes, yummy yummy gravy, cranberry sauce with cream cheese, homemade rolls, two types of sweet potatoes, fried corn with bacon, green beans, pretzel jello and for desert... pumpkin pie, pumpkin roll, caramel apple pie, and cherry pie! It was such a great meal with TONS of food!
I am so thankful for Dan's family. They have been so good to us and I always know that they are there for us. I am especially thankful for Dan's mom. She has been such a great mother and I really appreciate her kindness and the love she shows for me and my children (and Dan, of course). Thank you Sandy!!
I'm also thankful for Dan. He has been so supportive of me and all that I want to accomplish. We have grown so close though our trials and he has always been attentive to my feelings and needs. He is a hard worker and has always provided for our family. I am so thankful that I never have to worry about weather or not he will be able/willing to do whatever he needs to in order to provide. Dan is such a great Dad and I am thankful that my kids are able to have such a great time with their Dad. Dan helps so much around the house and with the kids. I would say he has probably bathed Bailey and Peyton more than I have!
I am so thankful to be a mother! I love my children more than I could ever describe, they bring so much to my life and I will forever be in debt to my Heavenly Father for allowing me to be their mother. I am thankful for their forgiving hearts and allowing me to grow and learn because I am definitely not perfect!
I am also thankful for my family. Times have been pretty tough for us and we do what we can to look past the hurt. I am thankful for the trials that have helped us grow closer together and have made us who we are. I am especially thankful for my sister Kim. We have become so close since my Dad passed and I am thankful for her friendship.
I'm thankful for such great friends. I don't have many close friends but I am thankful for those of you (you know who you are) who have been so supportive and always check in on me to make sure I am doing OK.
These are just a few of the things I am thankful for. I had a great day with my family and best of all, Dan didn't have to work and he didn't even get a call! It was awesome! Happy Thanksgiving!

Victory Dance

Peyton and Dan often play football on the playstation together (actually Dan plays and Peyton uses a controller that isn't plugged in). Peyton gets really excited when they (LSU is his team) make a touchdown and again when they kick the extra point. Check out his victory dance.

My little Balla!

Peyton loves sports so much. Our new house has been so nice because we have a back patio and a back door so we have much better access to the hoop. Peyton often goes out and practices and I can just leave the screen door open and hear him and know that he is OK. Today I was thinking that I haven't really ever taken pictures of him playing. So here they are...

He loves to dunk it!

Taken a jump shot.

Check out that form, flawless!!

More than meets the eye

Peyton has recently developed an OBSESSION with Transformers. He has been watching the old episodes that we used to watch when we were kids on youtube.com. He walks around singing "Transformers, more than meets the eye". It is freaking hilarious!

"Happy Birthday too you..."

Today is my sweet baby boy's birthday. Well, he's not so much a baby anymore really but he will always be MY baby boy! It seems like just yesterday I was so nervous to have another baby. I had many sleepless nights because of how scared I was. I was, and still am, always checking in on him while he's sleeping and I am terrified that something bad may happen to him. I have read a lot lately on other blogs about mothers and their intense feelings of love for their little ones and the joy they bring to life. I too feel this way about my children. Everyday I am amazed at how much Peyton is learning and how much he is growing. He is so observant and he always keeps me laughing at the little things he picks up on and repeats. He is such an obedient and respectful boy, it's amazing to me that a 3 year old can be so obedient!

Just Born.

1 year birthday.

2 year birthday.

3 year birthday.

Last night we had a fun birthday party with lots of friends and family. Peyton was so funny when everyone was singing happy birthday too him. It was like he was having an emotional overload. He was laughing hysterically and at the same time the tears were welling up in his eyes. It was classic, I wish I had it recorded! He really wanted an LSU (Louisianna State University ) football cake so Dan and I stayed up till 2:30 a.m. the night before working on it. I don't know that we will ever do that again, but it turned out OK. Peyton received a lot of fun gifts that he loves! Thanks everyone for coming and showing Peyton that you love him.

HELP!!

I really want to customise my blog but I don't know what I am doing! Anyone have any ideas or know how to do this? Any help would greatly be appreciated!

Halloween 2007

We had a great time last night. Peyton (Lightning McQueen's pit crew) loved trick or treating and Bailey (butterfly) was such a trooper. We were able to go trick or treating with some of Peyton's cousins whom he adores! Between every house Peyton wanted us to carry his bucket between houses because it was too heavy. Almost every time he came to give it to me he would say "it's not full yet mom" and he would run off to the next house with me chasing behind him to give him back his bucket. It was so fun to see him so excited, he doesn't even really like candy that much but he wanted to fill his bucket.
