Spare time...
When I saw my sister-in-law Trisha's blog about her yummy strawberry jam, I just had to have some. So, Kim and I decided we should make ourselves a few batches. Kim headed out to get all the stuff while I did school stuff and took P to tumbling and later that night (we started around 9:30pm) we made our delicious jam! Neither of us have done any canning since we were younger and living at home. It was really fun, pretty easy and our jam turned out really really yummy. I'm excited to have jam all winter long, hopefully it will last. Thanks Trisha, for all the pointers!

Walking!!!!
Finally! Bailey is walking (mostly). She has been doing so well this week, she is mostly walking everywhere and even when she starts crawling if we ask her to stand up and walk she does! Her balance has really gotten a lot better. I guess 17 months is better than never!
As you can see, she's becoming a little defiant too, just testing her boundaries.

Wii
Peyton and Hannah were playing the Wii the other night and this is what Bailey did...
It was so funny when she picked up the black tv remote! She really thought she was playing. She just wants to be like the big kids and do EVERYTHING they are doing.

A quick line, or two...
I just wanted to drop a quick line, maybe two or more, about how things are going. School has been really busy and the adjusting is still in progress. It's been really really hard on me and a little hard on the kids, (thanks to their Aunt Kimmy watching them). When Peyton sees me putting on scrubs at 7:00 am (he's been waking up VERY early, for him) it usually brings him too tears. I have had my breakdowns too, poor Dan. He has really tried to be patient with my moodiness/ poor stress management techniques. I have to admit, I have bitten his head off more than a few times these last few weeks! I told him he's just going to have to get used to his new life of walking on egg shells LOL! just kidding, I am trying to not be so snippy, it's a work in progress. I hate that we have to start all over again with the adjusting when October comes, since Kim and her girls will be leaving us and the kids will be starting day care. Peyton is excited but a few breakdowns are expected, I think Bailey will have the hardest time of the two of them.
The kids have had a lot of fun with their aunt and cousins, especially Peyton. Bailey is closer to walking than she was before, but she still isn't there yet, she wants to be but her balance isn't quite good enough to walk everywhere. At least she is attempting more often than before. Kim realized this week, why I don't do much with Bailey's hair. As she sucks her thumb she twirls her hair and she is always playing with it. She loves to run her fingers through it and she wont just leave it alone! Exhibit A
Right after her hair was done.

About 5 hours later.
While browsing through pictures I found this video of Bailey dancing, I thought it was worth sharing.
I also wanted to let you all know I am still reading all your blogs any chance I get, I just haven't had as much time to comment as I did before. I hate that I don't have the time I used too but I think it will be worth it after these next 2 years are over!
