How crafty!

I have to admit, I am sorta proud of myself. I don't consider myself to be a very crafty person so when I do anything that is remotely crafty I feel overly satisfied! In a previous post I talked about the LSU quilt my sister Kim and I made for Peyton's bed (if you remember, Kim did all the work) anyway, I made this purple pillow case and this throw pillow all by myself. I didn't even have any supervision!! I even threaded my machine and the bobbin all by myself! (for those of you thinking "why did she buy a machine if she doesn't know how to sew?" Kim gave me this machine, it was our belonged to our mother years and years ago). This isn't the first pillow I have made but it is definitely the best one! I was practicing my sewing skills because I am planning on making a special superhero cape for Peyton for Christmas and I am really nervous about it! Wish me luck!

Rollie Pollie Girl...

We are seeing finally seeing some action with Bailey. I don't put her on her tummy enough to give her a chance to try her rolling skills but she gave it a go last week. (I know, I am a bad mother, I should have blog this much sooner!) Anyway, here are th action shots of her practicing her skills.

Peyton was yelling and cheering her on! "Go Bailey, you can do it!"

She was so happy afterwards!

Visitors

My sister Kim and her two girls, Hannah and Penelope have been visiting us for the last week. We had so much fun, the kids LOVED playing together all day and Kim's girls loved holding and playing with Bailey. We are so sad that the visit is over. Time goes so quickly! We did a lot of fun things while they visited including a visit to Ikea, a trip to Logan (to visit a few cousins and our parents grave sites), we made an LSU quilt for Peyton's bed (Kim did all the work while I watched ;) ) and Kim helped me decorate my new house! Here are a few pictures of the kids during the visit
(sorry I don't have more, we mostly used Kim's camera and she hasn't sent me those pictures yet).

Projects

Just wanted to post some pictures of the projects Kim and I worked on while she was here. Our biggest project was decorating the half wall between our sitting room and kitchen and the top of our cupboards. One night we made a quilt for Peyton's bed (like I said, Kim did it and I watched).

We Moved!

Just wanted to update everyone on our home situation...
We have moved to Clinton. I will post pictures of our home in a few days (gotta unpack a little more and make it presentable).
