Happy Wedding

Today Dan's brother KC is getting married! We are so excited for him and his new wife Michelle. Last night they hosted a little party at Michelle's sisters house. Peyton was able to swim, which he LOVES, with his cousins, which he LOVES even more! Here are some pictures of him swimming.

Book Swap

Yesterday we got our book swap package. It was filled with lots of fun books for me and the kids. I am excited to read The Secret Life of Bees, I have heard good things about this book but have never taken the chance to read it. We also got Where The Sidewalk Ends, I LOVE poetry! This will be great to read with the kids. Also, in our package was a cute magazine called Blueprint, I am anxious to see what this is all about. Peyton was also very excited to get some paint with water books. Thanks Erica!

Dinosaur Park

Today we visited Ogden Eccles Dinosaur park with Aunt Jenny, Ella (a cousin) and Hallie (a friend of the family). We had a lot of fun, even though Peyton was afraid of the Dinosaurs. Here are some of the pictures from the day.

Swimming

Today Peyton went swimming at MeeMaw's pool with some of his cousins and his Aunt Kathy. Bailey just chilled in her bouncy chair while I read a good book. Here are a few pictures of the fun.

Finally!!

Peyton finally pooped in the potty!! He was so happy (as was I) and we celebrated for quite a while. Hope it wasn't a fluke!!

This is the Backyardigans guitar that he choose as his prize! I think I am already hating this thing, luckily there is a volume control!!

We were sitting at dinner and Peyton pointed to Dan's arm and asked "is this pizza daddy?" Here is a picture of the pizza arm!

My sister has been asking me to put more pictures of Bailey on my blog. I think she just wants to see how she is growing and changing. Dan and I weighed her last night and it looks like she weighs around 10lbs now! She definately looks like she is getting a little chubby!

Home at last!!

Finally... our Kathy is home for the summer. We are always so happy to see her when school gets out and we love all the time we get to spend with her over the summers. This was her first time seeing little Bailey Sue so I thought I would snap a picture of them (even tho Kathy didn't want me too since she had spent the whole day driving!!). And of course, Peyton loves seeing her too!

Monthly picture

My sister was telling me about a friend of hers that takes a monthly picture of her kids. Each month she puts her kids in the same spot and takes their picture. I think this is a great idea and I am going to start doing it. I think it will be great for friends and family to see how the kids are growing. Here is the first months picture.

Potty for Peyton

So... since I feel like I change diapers all day, and we know Peyton is a very smart boy, and it is so weird to change a diaper on such a big boy, we have decided to really attempt potty training. It is going well so far, Peyton wanted to buy the "special soap" (the foaming kandoo soap) and I told him he could only use it when he goes potty. He has done well so far, he even used the bathroom at Target today!! I was so happy! He has yet to do a poop on the potty but I am hoping this will happen later today. Also he hasn't told me he has to go yet, each time he goes it is because I take him so I am hoping he catches on. Any ideas in this area? Any help from you more experienced moms would be great!!

Selling our first home!

We just put our house up for sale. This is our first home and we have lived here almost 5 years. This is a bitter sweet thing for us, we have done so many home improvement projects on our home and we love it so much. This is where we had our first 3 children and we have had so many happy memories here! We are so sad to move on but excited at the same time. We have outgrown this great home and just need more liveable space for our growing family. We are planning on staying in this area and have been looking for a new home for about 2 months now. We haven't found much yet but hope to find something soon. Wish us luck on buying and selling!

By the way, according to Peyton, we will sell our house on Thursday the 19th!!

When is Thursday the 19th??

I am so sick of changing diapers! I feel like I change diapers all day and all night. We have experimented with potty training for Peyton but he didn't seem like he was ready. Everytime I change his poopy diapers I ask him "when are you going to go poop on the potty" and everytime his reply is "at Thursday 19". This has become his answer to every "when" question. We have asked him "when do you want to go to the park?" "when are you going to feed yourself?" "when is your football, basketball, or soccer game?" "when are you going to go golfing with Dad?" "when are we going to see Mickey?" the list goes on and on. His reply is ALWAYS "at Thursday 19." I don't know when Thursday the 19th is, but a lot will be happening that day and it will be a glorious day!!
