A bunch of randomness...

Bailey is a lot more curious and daring then Peyton was at her age. She is always testing Dan and I and Peyton. When we tell her no, it's like a challenge to do it until we physically stop her. For instance, if she is touching the buttons on the TV (while Peyton is playing the Wii) and we tell her to stop, she does it more, then we walk toward her and she starts acting all jumpy and pushes the buttons as many more times as she can before we get close enough that she can't get away. She does that with pretty much anything we tell her not to do. The other day she was getting into the cupboards (which Peyton NEVER did) and she came into the living room with a bottle scrubber. Along her path she is stopping periodically to scrub the tile, the wall, then the carpet, the couch, then back to the wall, then the tile. I have to admit, even though she got into the cupboard (under the sink!) which is a big NO NO, I was sorta proud that she was cleaning. At least if she is getting into things she is helping to keep the house clean. She is her mothers daughter:)

She also wont stay out of the garbage in her room, it's been a constant battle. She empties all of the diapers and any other trash as she is yelling "EW" over and over, then comes out with the empty trash can!

You can see her mouth in this picture, she was still saying "EW".

The semester is almost at an end (thank goodness!) Only 2 weeks left! The kids have pretty much adjusted to daycare but their immune systems sure haven't! Bailey has been sick 4 times (thanks to her thumb sucking) including a cold, pink eye, adenovirus and currently bronchitis. Peyton has been sick 3 times once with a cold, then pink eye (from Bailey, then I got it) and something nasty right now that is making his asthma flare up pretty badly which has also included diarrhea and throwing up once. I have been told many times by many people that they will catch everything, and they have! I'm sure it will continue next semester. Anywho, I am really glad they have pretty much adjusted and Bailey even has a few days here and there that she doesn't cry when I drop her off. I am so excited for finals to be over and Christmas break to be here, I'm sure it will go by much too quickly.

Bailey REALLY wants to be exactly like her brother!
I just have to post these pictures and I can without worrying since my blog is private now. I usually am not a big fan of the kids running around without clothes on, in fact this is the first time Bailey ever has, excluding her trips to the bath. She was so dang funny, it was like she felt free or something. She was jumping all over the bed acting loopy and crazy. What a silly girl!

Going Private...

I think I'll be joining Tiff on this one. After seeing the KSL story I think it would probably be a good idea to make our blog private. There's no way I'm not going to post pictures of my kids on our blog, what would be the point of having a blog?? I would love for all of you to still be able to visit and see what were up too. Leave a comment with your email address so I can add you to the list of those who can view. I'll keep your email addresses private too. Thanks so much!

Happy Birthday Peyton!

My cute little baby is 4 today!! I can't believe how time flies. Peyton has always been the most pleasant and obedient boy. We love having him around and can't seem to get enough of him. He is always so loving and sincere, always saying kind things and telling us how much he loves us. Lately the wheels in his head have been turning and he has been asking a lot of random questions like "what is under blood" (sparked by skeletons during Halloween), "what's under wood" (sparked by subflooring when we were laying tile at his MeeMaw's) and "who makes birds fly" (while looking out the window). I love that he is thinking and exploring the world. He loves school and has been learning a lot about sharing and getting along with friends. He is always so sweet with his sister, even when he is frustrated with her he still has a softer tone than would be expected. He's just a great kid, almost too good to be true!

Peyton had a Batman themed party with some of his friends last Saturday. It was a lot of fun, he recieved TONS of toys including a Batman cape that kim and I made, a mask, and an arm apparatus which he wore for 2 days straight (we made him take them off at night). He is so into Batman right now, he'll even say "don't call me Peyton, call me Batman".

The girl who loves to sing...

Bailey LOVES to sing, she is always singing. In fact, right this second I can here her singing twinkle little star through the monitor (she is in her crib). We have a fridge magnet that sings the ABC's, that has become another one of her favorites. I am always so amazed at her memory, kids learn so quickly it is so fun to teach her new songs and have her remember them so well! I have been trying to get a video clip of her singing for a long time. I finally got one today!

Halloween 2008

We had a great Halloween this year. Peyton dressed up as Ben 10 (a show on "Cartoon Neckwork" as peyton would say), Bailey was a 3-eyed monster.

I had to work on Halloween day so our friends the Merrills invited us to their ward trunk or treat on Wednesday. We all had a lot of fun plus some yummy food. Dan took Friday (Halloween) off work so he could watch the kids, since I had to work. He took them to their daycare Halloween parade. Peyton has such a great teacher. She is so interested in the kids, she loves her job and it shows! Her favorite holiday is Halloween so Peyton's class had a really fun party.

The kids school Halloween events.

Later that night Dan took the kids to his Charlie's house for more yummy food and trick or treating with the cousins. I was able to get off work a little early and meet them. Both the kids had so much fun. Bailey wouldn't let go of her bucket, she said "sick or seat" at every house followed by a "thank you", she was a very polite girl.

Trunk or treating and Halloween night.
