So, it all started Monday morning. Bailey woke up with a low grade fever, I didn't think much of it I just assumed she had an ear infection (she's getting tubes the 31st) and gave her some Motrin. Her fever went away and we went about our day visiting with family, Dan's brother Ben was in town for the day and the kids had a great time playing with their cousins. That night I had to work. Dan called me around 10:00pm or so and said Bailey had a fever of 102.7! I was pretty concerned because Bailey has never had a temp that high, even with her history of a bazillion ear infections! I really couldn't believe it was that high so I had Dan check it again... 102.7, that can't be right, check it again... 103.1! Oh my gosh, stop checking, it's just going higher each time! So, I left work to meet him at the Dr's office. No ear infection, no Strep, no flu, no UTI, okay looking CBC! What the heck! Her only other symptoms were a slight cough and they said her throat looked really bad. Why such a high fever? They sent us home and said if the fever lasted 3 days to come back. 3 days later (Thursday), still a fever! The fever left a few times only to come back. Wednesday morning it was about 100.8 then of course by the time we went to the Dr. it was gone. She told us she thought it was gone for good but if it came back to call her and she would want us to come in again. Later that night it came back alright, 102.4. What is going on here! We went back to the Dr. and she tested for Strep again but it was a no, and she rechecked the CBC and it looked even better than before! Then she told us she thought it was Adenovirus. Dan's response was "what'd you say, you think it's I dunno Virus?" LOL, pretty much! Then she said, if Bailey has a fever for 2 more days, that is concerning and to call her. Yeah, if she has a fever that long I think we'll just go to the ER. Especially since we have already paid way more in co pays than our ER copay is!
It's Saturday now and she woke up with a fever of 101.4. She is so miserable, her respiratory symptoms have worsened but she doesn't have any conjunctivitis or any eye symptoms for that matter, and no diarrhea. She is supposed to be getting tubes in her ears Monday morning but I don't know if that will be happening is she is still sick like this! Poor baby!

How did the pre op go?
I am sorry, I hate when babies are sick becuase they can't tell what hurts and you can't even give them good medicine to help. I hope she starts feeling better soon!
Good luck with the ears. Rest easy, Wyatt's had them twice. It always went way smooth and the recovery was super quick. Generally helped a ton too!!
