A quick line, or two...

I just wanted to drop a quick line, maybe two or more, about how things are going. School has been really busy and the adjusting is still in progress. It's been really really hard on me and a little hard on the kids, (thanks to their Aunt Kimmy watching them). When Peyton sees me putting on scrubs at 7:00 am (he's been waking up VERY early, for him) it usually brings him too tears. I have had my breakdowns too, poor Dan. He has really tried to be patient with my moodiness/ poor stress management techniques. I have to admit, I have bitten his head off more than a few times these last few weeks! I told him he's just going to have to get used to his new life of walking on egg shells LOL! just kidding, I am trying to not be so snippy, it's a work in progress. I hate that we have to start all over again with the adjusting when October comes, since Kim and her girls will be leaving us and the kids will be starting day care. Peyton is excited but a few breakdowns are expected, I think Bailey will have the hardest time of the two of them.

The kids have had a lot of fun with their aunt and cousins, especially Peyton. Bailey is closer to walking than she was before, but she still isn't there yet, she wants to be but her balance isn't quite good enough to walk everywhere. At least she is attempting more often than before. Kim realized this week, why I don't do much with Bailey's hair. As she sucks her thumb she twirls her hair and she is always playing with it. She loves to run her fingers through it and she wont just leave it alone! Exhibit A

Right after her hair was done.

About 5 hours later.

While browsing through pictures I found this video of Bailey dancing, I thought it was worth sharing.

I also wanted to let you all know I am still reading all your blogs any chance I get, I just haven't had as much time to comment as I did before. I hate that I don't have the time I used too but I think it will be worth it after these next 2 years are over!

Hey Laura. Congrats on working so hard to get yourself through school. I bet it's tough to leave your kids. Especially when Kim leaves. Keep working hard and one day you know it will be worth it. Oh I'm starting to blog and not really sure if i get it all yet, but Im trying.

I just have to say that Bailey's dancing video is hysterical! I loved it, thanks for sharing. Hang in there! I'm sure it will get easier once you all get settled into a schedule. :)

oh i can totally understand your life right now! i have worked off/on while james was in school...full time & part time, so i understand how busy life gets. sometimes you feel like you are just getting by or spinning your wheels. we often found ourselves "co-existing" because both of us were so busy & then had the kids to still be there for at the end of the day. keep your head up & know that this won't be forever but don't forget about each other. it gets busy & hectic & the kids take time to adjust. i admire you for going to nursing school AND being a mother! i don't think i could do it! you are amazing!!!! we wish you the best...you'll do just great!

Did Kim do her hair in that picture too then? I can totally tell, it looks like it could be Hannah or Penelope sitting there when they were that age! How funny she twirls it so much! Good luck with school, it's hard work but you are doing a good thing!

You are doing awesome! Hang in there. It will be worth it when you are done. The first year is the hardest. Next year will be much easier!

Just remember that this time won't last forever. It's just a couple of years and when your kids are grown they probably won't even remember it. I'm proud of you for going to school.

I'm guessing you'll get into a routine pretty soon, and then maybe things will be a LITTLE easier. Love the dancing video!
