Our plan for this Summer was to camp A LOT!! Sadly... that didn't happen. In fact, we didn't go camping once! I was just working so much and with all that was going on, it never worked out. Since school was starting up I insisted that we go camping this last weekend. I wasn't going to let the whole Summer go by with no camping, not when we enjoy it so much. So Dan took Friday off and we headed up to Meadows from Thursday to Saturday since we had to be back for P's first soccer game. The kids had a great time, they even played in the river (the camera was back at the camp site). It was nice to get away and enjoy nature. Hopefully we will be able to go lots next Summer!

Ben and I have never been camping- we should go next year don't you think?

i am impressed b/c i have not really wanted to go camping with chumby...he's too busy. now maybe we should try to do a weekend like you guys did. it looks like you had such a great time!

I so wish we could have come camping with you guys! We had the same goal this summer but didn't make it either. Tell P that Wy and I are proud of him for not crying...I don't think I could brag about the same thing. He does look real tempted to pick the ball up. I always love to read your tributes to Jackson. Hope the saying "time heals everything" is applicable in this trial too. I'm always thinking of you guys.
